About
Mrunalini Nikte is a spatial designer and furniture author based in India. Her studio, founded in 2014, works across interior design and furniture – two practices built on the same instinct: that good design begins with how people actually live.
With a master’s degree from Florence and over a decade of practice between Hyderabad, Pune, and Mumbai, her work carries the influence of twelve countries, the Venice Biennale, Milan Design Week, and the workshops and streets of Europe – brought back to India as a distinct point of view.
Chafa Home is her interior design practice – systems-driven, zero commissions, built around real life rather than trends. Her furniture editions bring sculptural form to Indian craftsmanship, beginning with Play Form – bold, collectible pieces that refuse to sit quietly.
Direct, detail-obsessed, and allergic to shortcuts, Mrunalini designs spaces and objects where craft, proportion, and comfort are never negotiated.
